Architect Andrew Verri of Andrew Verri Architects decided that the use of large spans of glass to maximize views would be the focal point of the project. The clients brief was to create a farm house that ensured their home overlooked the valleys, hills and beyond. Taylors Window Supplies completed the glazing for this project. Due to Cootamundra’s cooler climate, architect Andrew Verri needed a glazing solution that enabled him to maximise the use of glazing whilst maintaining thermal efficiency within the home.
Andrew decided to use the ThermalHEART™ range of aluminium windows and doors to ensure the design brief was met whilst ensuring the overall energy rating of the home remained. For maximum design flexibility, Andrew Verri appreciated the fact that due to the size of the AWS range, he was able to combine standard aluminium frames with the ThermalHEART™ profiles.
The completed design included many large panel bi-fold doors, awning windows and sliding windows to ensure maximum views from within the home and to create a light filled living environment.
