This sleek, architecturally designed home is located in Rosebud, a seaside town on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The project started out as a replacement building for fibro shack, which has grown into an architecturally inspired, carefully designed home. James Goodlet of Altereco Design was chosen to ensure the clients dream home came to life. The home’s main design focus is on high ceilings and large scale glazing which in turn gives the home a sense of openness.

As James Goodlet begun piecing the home together, he realised that due to the size of the openings he envisaged, the doors were required to be as large as possible. The doors were to be 1.8 meters wide and be double glazed, therefore requiring high quality, durable rollers and aluminium systems to ensure the products could still perform relatively easily.
James decided to use a trusted aluminium window and door fabricator who he has specified on many other projects; Windows By Design due to their experience and expertise. The project required a flexible glazing system that was suited to the tough coastal environment of Rosebud.
The Vantage Aluminium Joinery range of aluminium windows and doors were used throughout the family home. The flexibility of the Vantage system allowed the windows and doors to be used in various applications and configurations around the house.
Working with the skillful team at Windows By Design, James Goodlet was able to push the boundaries of the Vantage system. The pair worked closely in resolving issues the architects weren’t able to solve on their own. The Vantage Aluminium Joinery range coupled with the manufacturing experience of Windows By Design enabled the Rosebud home custom solutions to fulfill the clients design brief.
